Verlagi — What We PublishFounding list 2027 — submissions open

Four subjects
one standard.

We publish books about the forces reshaping the world — and we publish them properly. Every title gets the editorial, production and commercial attention it requires.

Intelligent nonfiction · Selected fiction · Traditional terms

Science & Technology

Popular science, computing, artificial intelligence, engineering, medicine and the technologies changing the world.

We look for writers who can take a technical subject and make it matter to a general reader — researchers, engineers, clinicians and journalists with genuine expertise and a story worth telling. If your book explains how something works and why it changes things, we want to read it.

Business, Finance & Economics

Founders, leadership, organisations, markets, investing, economics and the future of work.

From founder memoirs to serious economics for a trade readership: we publish books grounded in real experience and real data. Practitioners with a decade inside an industry often make better authors than commentators outside it — tell us what you know that others don't.

Ideas & Society

Psychology, cognition, decision-making, innovation and the forces changing how we live.

The books people press on their friends: psychology, behaviour, culture and the ideas reshaping everyday life. We want arguments with spine — clearly made, honestly evidenced and written to be read, not skimmed.

Selected Fiction

Speculative fiction, near-future novels and intelligent thrillers with a substantial idea at their centre.

Our fiction list is deliberately narrow: novels driven by a substantial idea — speculative futures, intelligent thrillers, stories that sit close to the subjects we publish in nonfiction. If your novel asks a serious question about where the world is going, it belongs here.

If your book belongs in one of these lists, read our submission guidelines — we accept direct submissions, no agent required, and authors never pay.

Written one?

We are reading for our founding list now — manuscripts and proposals, directly from writers, on traditional terms.
