What we’re looking for
- Popular science written for a general reader, not for a seminar room
- Artificial intelligence, computing and cybersecurity — the workings, not the hype
- Engineering, medicine and space, told through the people and the problems
- The history of a technology, where it explains something about the present
- Researchers and practitioners writing their first trade book
What we’re not
- Highly technical monographs with no route to a general readership
- Manuscripts needing extensive original fact-checking we could not fund
- Speculation about the future with no evidence underneath it
Everything else in science & technology — we genuinely want to see it.
Who writes these books: Researchers, engineers, clinicians, technologists and science journalists — often writing a first book, usually while doing the day job.

A covering note, a short synopsis and an opening sample is all we need to start. You keep every right in your work unless and until a publishing agreement is signed. Full guidelines if you’d like the detail first.
